Prosper Recruitment are working in partnership with a leading provider of regeneration services in the UK, who designs, builds, refurbishes and maintains homes, buildings and the facilities. Our client works in partnership with housing associations, local authorities, the private sector and residents to invest in local communities and specialise in working with public and private sector landowners and landlords, bringing brownfield sites into active use and breathing new life into neighbourhoods across the UK. Due to growth they are looking for a Regional Head of Finance; reporting directly into the Finance Director of the Northern Region you will take full responsibility for financial control and operational cash management in the regional business. This is a newly created position where you will be representing the Central Region with a t/o of circa GBP300m. This position will sit on the regional board and will ensure the business is monitoring agreed budgets and performance targets. Proactive member of the Senior Management Team providing timely and accurate management information to the Central Board and the Divisional Finance Team Support the Regional MD in the weekly meetings Attend the monthly / quarterly Divisional Board Meetings Critically review OU information prior to submission to Division Control the Regional Finance department on a day to day basis Provide the key point of contact for the Central Finance function: Develop procedures and reportage Provide Regional financial analysis Share best practice across the Region Monthly Management Accounts: Support Commercial in the Monthly contract reviews and submit to Division to the agreed deadlines Prepare variance reportage Working Capital and Cash: Understand and improve the working capital cycle, enhancing the cash balance and profile Provide the key point of contact for the central Cashiers department Develop and monitor Regional cash action plans and weekly cash forecasts Provide monthly working capital and cash reportage (including detailed WIP analysis Control Red Flag reportage and target improvements Operating Units: Support the RMD in the monthly OU reviews Attend key site performance reviews and Contribution meetings; review CVRs with Commercial Challenge the Commercial and OU Teams Overheads: Review staff structures and prepare overhead budgets and forecasts Control overheads to budget Provide detailed variance analysis Prepare the annual budget and monthly reforecasts and support the Regional MD in the preparation of the annual business plan: Monthly Profit Forecast (Working with the OU) Prepare and control the monthly profit forecast Update the Billings and Order template Responsibility for Regional E-Vision data Prepare Regional reportage: Monthly Finance Packs and Quarterly Board Papers Annual Budgets and Business plans Provide the key point of contact for the External Auditors Proven track record working within the Construction Industry, ideally Main Contractor Proven track record at Senior Management level The ability to work successfully as part of a team Good communicator Strong commercial acumen
