Residents Finance Assistant
We are looking for a Residents Finance Assistant to join the team at Metropolitan House, Potters Bar.
Working 9:00am - 5:30pm, Monday to Friday
The Role:
Working 9:00am - 5:30pm, Monday to Friday, you will be supporting the managing and maintaining of Clients money accounts. Duties are included:
• Processing of payment to and on behalf of Residents
• Dealing with payments to Residents from external organisations and family
• Creating and closing of CMS accounts for Residents
• Payment of supplier invoices and reimbursement from Residents' CMS accounts
• Daily reconciliation of Residents bank accounts
• Setting up encashment facilities for the Service Manager and other staff
• Working with the DWP and job centre plus on behalf of Residents to claim their benefits
• Dealing with internal and external queries
• Ensuring that all CMS activity complies with audit regulations.
• Reconciliation of Residents' personal contribution fees
• Credit control function of the region (Chase debtors via phone, letters, email)
• Collate the mileage data from the services, analyse the data and produce mileage invoices
• Posting month end invoices along with copies of unpaid invoices to appointees
• Completing the client contribution collection (CCC)
• Housing benefit queries (overpayment, suspension, change of billing cycle and underpayment of Housing benefit queries)
In addition, as part of fast growing and rapidly changing business, upon proving their ability, teamwork and dedication the successful candidate may gain exposure to future development projects.
The Individual:
The key skills the successful candidate will need to display are:
• Ideally one years of previous experience within the industry in administration, in a finance environment
• Oral and written communication skills
• A good understand of Excel i.e. (VLook up function and Pivot Table)
• Preference will be given to individuals who have worked in a related sector, although this is not necessary
