My client is a multi-nation telecommunications company based in Central London and are looking for an internal auditor for 12 months.
Job Summary
Research, plan, and conduct multiple internal audit assignments to assess the company's internal controls related to finance, operations and information technology.
Job Description
- Assist in executing internal audits for assigned portion of audit plan by testing compliance with established internal control policies, procedures, laws, and regulations.
- Complete internal audit workpaper documentation according to the company's quality standards and timelines.
- Communicate with business process owners and document risk, controls and processes of audit areas.
- Communicate with internal audit management regarding testing status, audit issues and deadlines. Prepare and report audit findings and validate with business process owners.
- Report discrepancies as necessary. Identify opportunities for improving business processes, enhancing revenue, reducing costs or improving internal controls.
- Ensure integrity and reliability of the controls. Assist the planning of financial, operational and/or IT audits. Create, perform, and document detailed audit procedures.
- Requirements:
- Experience in internal audit, risk consulting, or external audit.
- Large accounting or consulting firm experience preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast paced, constantly changing environment, with an exceptional eye for detail.
- Ability to multi-task, problem solve, and prioritize, as well as demonstrate excellent communication skills in order to successfully meet deadlines.
- Strong computer skills with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrated experience with audit software such as ACL, Access and/or SQL is a plus.
