Job Purpose
Support production by provision of robust engineering solutions. Support continuous improvement activities, provide technical expertise to production on new product introduction, and improvements to existing processes and procedures. Work with Commercial Department in provision of quotes to customers
Responsibilities
Undertake process design, implementation and continuous improvement
Support Value Stream Groups in provision of engineered solutions and work instructions to production requirements in accordance with HSE, cost, quality and delivery constants
In conjunction with VSG identify areas for improvement in production activities in order to improve efficiency effectiveness, cost and quality.
Monitor equipment use and effectiveness, identify problems arising and come up with effective and timely solutions using statistical process tools. Undertake TPM, monitor and evaluate gauging trends.
Support Commercial function in responding to customer enquiries and new contracts, by investigation and development of technical solutions
Liaise with customers during process introduction, improvements and incorporation of new technologies
Knowledge/Qualifications/Experience
Excellent communication skills, oral and written including report writing to internal and external customers
HNC level qualification or equivalent in a relevant technical discipline
Experienced in use of relevant software in order to fulfil requirements of the role eg CAD, CAM, SPC etc
High level of numeracy
High level computer skills
