Our client, a high volume and fast paced manufacturing business with multiple production lines, seeks to appoint a Test Technician. You will provide technician support for the test engineering team, tackling a variety of tasks under engineer supervision. You will have a technological qualification, experience of building, testing and debugging electronic hardware, excellent written communication skills to produce documentation and a "go the extra mile" attitude to proactively support the design engineering team. Test Technician - Role and Responsibilities - Electronics / Hardware / BOM / Test Engineer / Design / Electrical & Electronic / Testing
* Produce and maintain technically accurate and illustrative (3D) Test Procedures
* Create and maintain test equipment BOMs, schematics, technical drawings
* Produce Risk Assessments, maintenance/calibration plans and trouble shoot guides
* Assemble hardware to specification and then test and debug it
* Provide technical support to Production, Quality & TPM teams
* Involvement with report / data generation process for R&D and manufacturing
Test Technician - Skills and Abilities - Electronics / Hardware / BOM / Test Engineer / Design / Electrical & Electronic / Testing
* HNC or equivalent in an engineering or technology based subject (electrical & electronic engineering or equivalent preferred)
* Competent in building, testing, debugging and working with analogue and digital electronics hardware
* Experience of building, testing and working with electrical and mechanical assemblies
* Ability to understand electronic circuit schematics and the basic function of standard components
* Ability to produce documentation of test hardware, software and processes
* Excellent computer literacy, particularly with MS Office apps Excel, Word and Outlook
