Mechanical Engineer / Fitter

The company is a well established family run business based in Bishop's Stortford but moving to Harlow in November 2018, predominantly working on electric motor rewinds and repairs, gearbox and pump servicing and repair.

With a machine shop and welding bay to support the repair facility, the company also manufactures and repairs electro-magnets and transformers. The company also has a team of mobile engineers to provide a breakdown response on site.

They are seeking an engineer to join the in-house repairs department.

Duties:
- Stripping down electric motors, pumps and industrial gearboxes.
- Inspecting and identifying any faults prior to overhauling and repairing units.
- Assisting other departments as necessary.

Skills:
- The candidate should have a good mechanical background including fault diagnosis.
- Previous experience working with electric motors, pumps and gearboxes would be an advantage.
- Machinery maintenance experience is also useful.

Details:
Monday to Thursday 8:00am-4, Friday 8:00am-15:30pm
Paid overtime.
25 Days holiday excluding bank holidays.
