Community Involvement Officer

Based in Oxford, covering Oxfordshire (predominantly) and Gloucestershire

Salary £27,605 - £30,365

Permanent position, 37 hours per week

Passionate about great places to live, GreenSquare Group develops a range of new homes – for rent, shared ownership, and sale – and provides housing management, care and support, and commercial property services.

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Community Involvement Team. You will facilitate GreenSquare’s community involvement work to ensure that customers can input and prioritise the delivery of our services.

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate and co-ordinate the involvement of customers in all GreenSquare’s work
  • Recruit customers to involvement activities
  • Promote the involvement of a representative group of customers
  • Project manage community investment projects 
  • Identify and source match funding
  • Introduce creative community investment projects which contribute to the physical, environmental, social and economic wellbeing of neighbourhoods
  • Achieve effective and strong community involvement work by project managing, monitoring expenditure, delivering value for money and evaluating success.

To succeed in the role you will need:

  • A minimum of GCSE in English language and Maths or the equivalent ability level in English vocabulary, English verbal reasoning and numerical skills
  • Experience of providing advice and support about customer involvement and/or community investment projects
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience (paid or voluntary) in social housing, community development or a related field
  • Experience of working effectively with customers and partners in groups or one-to-one, e.g. meetings, consultations, events.  Skills to include chairing, promoting and setting up meetings, consultations and encouraging participation
  • Excellent organisational, analytical and project management skills.
