Salary: up to £32,000 pa, depending on experience

The Role:

An opportunity has arisen for an Investigation Officer to join their small and friendly Enforcement team. Working with the Investigation Manager, you will deal with allegations of professional misconduct and complaints about lawyers and other legal professionals, and take responsibility for your own caseload of investigations.

You will liaise with complainants, CILEx members and other relevant parties, to provide a transparent service. You will be responsible for preparing cases for tribunal and presenting them appropriate cases to a Disciplinary Tribunal or Appeals Panel.

The successful Candidate:

• Must have a legal qualification and experience of legal practice;
• Ideally will have experience of professional regulation or disciplinary proceedings;
• Will demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders;
• Will possess excellent communication, organisation and analytical skills;
• Advocacy experience or proven ability to present confidently is desirable.
