Are you a Database Administrator with SQL Server experience who would like to get involved in project work, large databases and full administrator duties? We have recently promoted our DBAs and we are looking for an experienced DBA who wants to progress their career in global environment. 

As a global provider of systems and solutions, you will get involved in a variety of databases that are used by our external customers. This is a great opportunity for a SQL Server DBA who would like to move into a progressive company. 

The DBA will get involved with: 
- Database analysis, design, implementation, configuration and clustering 
- SQL Server 2008, 2012 and 2016 
- Oracle 11 and 12 – experience of this would be a bonus 

As a DBA you will get involved in: 
- Investigate problems and collect performance statistics and create reports 
- Configuration, installing, securing and maintaining database software and databases 
- Testing and troubleshooting new database software 
- Performance tuning and optimisation of all databases 
- Database security, Traces, Events and Profiler 
- Contribute towards and document database architectural standards 
- To ensure that all database(s) fall within the high availability and SLA agreements as per customers contracts 
- Deliver schema designs, working with application architects 
- Checking all changes for logical and physical correctness 
- Backup and recovery of the database(s) within all environments 
- 24/7 on-call and overtime to support our global systems and solutions
