Operations Director (manufacturing / production) required in a newly created role for this successful OEM in Suffolk. The company is well regarded as a market leader and employer, having grown year-on-year since their inception more than thirty years ago.

As the company looks to the future, there are a number of exciting operational challenges around product, output, technology, efficiency, cost, compliance, performance and growth. This is a newly created position that is part of the Exec team and will help shape the future of the business.
The Operations director is responsible for setting the strategy for, leading and oversight of manufacturing / production, purchasing, warehousing, quality, health, safety & facilities.
To be considered, candidates are likely to meet the following criteria
* currently in a broad Director-level position, within Operations / Production / Manufacturing for an OEM
* proven experience devising and implementing strategy, with a lean, continuous improvement mindset
* ability to thrive in an SME context, working collaboratively across the business, with a clear leadership approach that enables their management team to get the best from staff
* successful experience overseeing operations within a changing business, ensuring activities are fit-for-purpose and in line with business strategy
