To be successful in your application for Primary Teaching Assistant you must be a hard-working graduate who has achieved a 2:1 or above in your degree with a good understanding of how to work with children based on experience gained from a similar role. You will arrive with the enthusiasm to continually provide stimulating lessons and an empathetic mind-set. The right applicant will have a genuine passion to help support all areas of child development with those who have special educational needs. You must have the skills to communicate clearly and effectively and take on the burden of extra responsibility.
At this acknowledged school, as a Primary Teaching Assistant you will be working within a particular class to be decided nearer your start time. Your duties will include providing group booster and intervention sessions for groups of students and helping other one to one. You will be working with children with Special Educational Needs and those that have 'English as an Additional Language' requirements, reporting directly to the school's able SENCO.. In this role you will be working under the forward-thinking Headteacher, a fantastic practitioner who is always keen to hear new ideas from all members of staff. Part of your role will include joining the school's support team, where each member has the option of pairing up with a mentor, yours will be a SENCO.
