The Farm:

We are seeking a competent, reliable and enthusiastic stockperson to take responsibility of this high standard pedigree Angus beef herd. This is a great opportunity for someone wants to produce quality beef cattle and the provide stockman ship that this requires.

*The Role:
*The role will involve day-to-day routine of looking after the herd, including calving which the majority is undertaken from January through to March; feeding, bedding work etc. Ensuring the herd are well looked after, health standards kept high and well-maintained stock. There would be some tractor work is involved to tend to cattle needs. If the successful applicant had AI experience that would also be valued, but it is not essential as training can be provided. The opportunity to get involved in all aspects of the running of this herd, including fertility, AI and ET work.

The herd competes in agricultural shows and attends society sales so if someone was interested they could get involved in the preparation of the stock for shows, halter train as well as the general stock person duties.

Key attributes of someone suitable for this role would be trustworthy, reliable and responsible. As the successful candidate would have day-to-day responsibility of the herd, with support from the owner and team members. A passion for stock and the ability to treat this herd as your own would be an attractive trait for the client.

The Applicant:

The successful applicant will be a competent Stockperson and have some beef cattle experience.

Competent tractor driver

AI trained preferably but not essential
