Our client, a successful multi-site food manufacturing business based in Knaresborough have a requirement for a proven Food and Drink Quality Manager. Reporting to the Technical Manager, the Quality Manager will be responsible for all technical aspects
To have responsibility for all Quality Management; to drive quality improvements and fully support customer and retailer audit requirements across the site.
Quality Manager Background:
* Experience within the food industry
* Previously employed as a Technical Manager or Strong Quality Manager in previous roles
* Proven people management skills and experience within a large organisation
* Prior experience of leading third party audits within a large Food Manufacturing facility
Key Responsibilities
* To ensure that staff are adequately trained in a timely manner, work carried out is to the highest standard and completed on time.
* Continually lead and develop the quality team to demonstrate continuous improvement, mind set and behaviours.
* Manage Company Food Safety Plan (HACCP) at manufacturing level by conducting Critical Control Point analysis; monitoring procedures, audits and verification procedures.
* Maintain and improve product quality through results of shelf-life assessments and general observations within the site
* Maintaining food safety standards via the team for the site through surveillance audits
* Manage traceability challenge exercise on a scheduled basis, Reporting compliance and non-compliance, driving corrective action plans and continual improvement.
Experience of being able to manage and lead QA team is ABSOLUTELY ESSENTIAL, leading through your Quality team leaders.
HACCP LEVEL 3 DESIRED - NOT ESSENTIAL
EXPERIENCE IN FOOD FMCG/DRINKS/PACKAGING/PHARMACEUTICALS/LIQUIDS - ESSENTIAL
