About the role
We are currently looking for an ambitious Solicitor (newly or recently qualified) to join a highly successful Finance and Investment Funds team, in our London office. The successful candidate will have relevant experience gained at a reputable commercial law firm.
The role involves:
?? Providing first class assistance to our senior lawyers working on interesting and varied client work;
?? Leading on your own portfolio of lower value transactions;
?? Developing long term relationships with clients, referrers of work and others.
?? In addition to strong technical skills, the successful candidate will demonstrate an enthusiasm for business development as there will be significant client contact, in both the work and business development context
About you
Candidates must demonstrate appropriate expertise in:
?? Drafting, reviewing and amending documentation.
?? Strategically advising clients in meetings, on the phone and in writing.
?? Managing client expectations and transaction delivery appropriately.
?? Legal research.
?? Contributing to department know-how.
?? Negotiating with counterparts.
Our ideal candidate will possess the following qualities:
?? Keen interest and enthusiasm to learn about our clients' businesses.
?? Strong commercial/business acumen with the ability to deliver creative and pragmatic solutions and advice.
?? Understanding of legal principles of own practice area along with a working knowledge of other practice areas.
?? Up to date awareness of legal developments affecting own practice area. Legal competence and strong soft skills are essential, as such, we also expect the successful candidate to exhibit:
?? The ability to work in teams, sharing knowledge and motivating and coaching their juniors and contributing to overall success.
?? Intellectual curiosity and versatility.
?? Attention to detail and self-motivated approach.
?? Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
