An oversubscribed mainstream secondary school in Enfield is seeking to recruit a part time teaching assistant to start ASAP. Working hours will be 8.30am - 12:30pm Monday to Friday. This is an ongoing post, for the full academic year. The school has high expectations of all pupils and works to meet individual's needs through individualized curriculums, interests and abilities. You will be required to work 1:1 with a student who has Autism in Year 1. As well as working on academic attainment, you will also be required to help develop social skills and confidence. Working alongside the SENCO and other experienced professionals, you will implement techniques, monitor progress and report back to SLT.
This position would suit someone who has experience supporting learners with ASD.
Skills required:
• Degree from a leading university
• Experience with SEN and ASD
• Enthusiastic and committed
• Previous one to one, small group work and/or whole class support
