Brook Street is currently recruiting for an energetic and confident waitress/waiter to join our client`s establishment based in Peterborough. This role is for an immediate start.

The Server leads restaurant guest interaction and ensures that all guests have a high quality and enjoyable dining experience.

To be immediately considered for interview:

  • You must have a minimum of 6 months` prior experience in a hospitality environment as a waitress/waiter
  • Are friendly, reliable, responsible, punctual, energetic and a quick learner
  • Have a passion to provide genuine hospitality, our client values and want to delivery excellent customer service
  • Be a team player with strong work ethics
  • Have good availability to work days, evenings, weekends, and/or split shifts


  • Maintain knowledge of current food/drink choices, specialties, taste and preparation methods, and product availability
  • Serve food courses and alcoholic beverages accurately and appropriately, and are able to answer questions and provide guests with menu recommendations
  • Detail and clean tables throughout restaurant, ensuring proper stock of napkins and utensils and condiments are appropriately ready
  • Responsible for accurately communicating guest orders to kitchen
  • Monitor and observe guests dining experience. Ensure guests are satisfied with the food and service. Respond promptly and courteously to any requests
  • Prepare final bill, present check to guest, accept payment, process credit card charges
  • Be ready and willing to assist fellow servers as situations arise
  • Maintain positive and effective working relationship with food and beverage management and staff
  • Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the restaurant manager or immediate supervisor
  • Present a professional appearance and clean uniform at all times
  • Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality, with or without reasonable accommodation


  • Excellent communication skills (verbally interacts with management, kitchen staff, and team members
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to accept constructive criticism and work calmly and effectively under pressure
  • Guest service oriented and possesses commitment to quality service
  • Have problem solving abilities, be self-motivated and organised
