First People Solutions are currently supporting an established Engineering, Construction, Building Services and Facilities Management client within their expanding Electrical contracts throughout the Belfast region with genuine routes of progression into more supervisory / team leader positions.

Reporting to the Engineering Supervisor/Manager the successful candidates will be responsible for undertaking
various pre- planned and reactive maintenance tasks and minor installation work

The Electrician will be responsible for:

* Suitably experienced in the delivery of all aspects of reactive and planned maintenance and minor
electrical installation works.
* Working across several high profile sites as both part of a team or alone under the instruction of the site
manager endeavoring to meet the needs of the client.
* Have the ability to meet with a variety of Clients to represent the Company and remain courteous and
professional in your dealings at all times.
* Have sufficient knowledge of the current IET wiring regulations ensuring all works meet the requirements
of the current IET wiring regulations.
* Ability to carry out works as per agreed planned programs ensuring practical completion is achieved as
scheduled.
* Undertake a range of maintenance and completion tasks including but not limited to single and three
phase low voltage distribution cabling and equipment, steel & PVC trunking/tray/conduit containment,
final circuit cabling, second fix final termination of wiring accessories, data networking, HVCA controls,
fault finding, inspection & testing.
* Accurate completion and timely submission of company documentation (Hard copy and electronic) as
required per contract.
* Liaise closely with the site Facilities Manager and colleagues to develop solutions to meet client's
requirements and budgets.
* Use their own initiative to solve complicated technical problems associated with minor works activities,
including sourcing parts & materials and seeking manufacturer technical support.
* Observe the highest levels of health and safety at all times, including carrying out point of work risk
assessments for every task to ensure the best possible working practices are adhered

Essential Criteria

* NVQ Level 3 electrical systems
* Current 17th IET Wiring Regulations
* Experience in planned & reactive maintenance projects / contracts
* Full UK Drivers Licence
