FOOD MANUFACTURING INDUSTRY VACANCY, RELEVANT EXPERIENCE REQUIRED***
A Despatch Operative is required to join an established chilled food manufacturing business based in Somerset.
Despatch Operatives ensure that the products are stored, picked and despatched for customers to receive and consumers to enjoy.
Main Responsibilities
• Ensuring all products are cleared for use and are despatched to the correct quality standards.
• Ensuring the correct products and packaging is issued to departments in a timely manner.
• Ensuring all checks are completed accurately and on time and that all products are appropriately and accurately labelled, according to Customer and Company specifications.
• Loading and unloading vehicles (approx. 1-2 per day), completing supplier monitoring tasks as appropriate.
• Working with the Supervisor to optimize stocks, rotating stock and minimising waste.
• Maintaining full traceability of products through the packing and despatch process, including use of the EFACS system.
• Working safely and following Company Health and Safety policies and work instructions.
• Operation of equipment in the area.
• Ensuring work areas and equipment are cleaned as set out in the cleaning schedule.
• Accurately completing any associated administration.
