Lantra is a successful Awarding Organisation dedicated to improving workforce skills in the land-based and environmental sector. With a staff of over ninety people and a turnover of £7m, we create training and qualifications to meet the practical needs of employers in the sector. We work with a network of training providers and instructors to train more than 80,000 people each year.
To support the continued growth of our business we are now looking to recruit a new Business Improvement Director to join our Executive Team. Working closely with the Chief Executive and COO, this role will provide leadership and strategic direction spearheading transformational change of our business processes to significantly improve productivity and customer experience.
Key responsibilities include:
- Identifying and prioritising opportunities to streamline and improve business processes and systems to increase productivity, reduce cycle times and enhance customer experience
- Developing and project managing an overarching “business transformation programme” to be delivered through a series of business improvement projects
- Working closely with CEO, COO and other managers to gain buy-in across the business for transformational change and establishing a culture of continuous improvement
About you:
- You will have demonstrated your ability to challenge the status-quo and to achieve significant improvement by analysing and re-engineering business processes
- You will have inspirational leadership skills and will be able to engage staff to develop lasting culture change
- You will be a good organiser with strong project management skills, including management of third-parties, to deliver results within agreed budgets and timescales
- You will have a strong customer focus and make sure that our processes are designed to make us easy to do business with and give customers the best possible experience
- You will be able to identify where technology can improve business efficiency
- You will be experienced working at a senior management level, contributing to strategy and providing compelling leadership across the wider organisation
