With the payroll industry evolving faster than ever before, it's coming up to our 10th year anniversary in 2019 and we're now ready for an experienced Payroll Manager to join us and help continue our growth journey.

As a payroll bureau we're looking for someone who can manage the overall running of our bureau clients and the team effectively, whilst driving efficiencies and fantastic service.

As Payroll Manager - It's essential that you'll already be familiar with:

Overseeing a number of different external payrolls

Excited and knowledgeable about the changes being made in the ever changing 'auto enrolment world' - Used to dealing with eligible, non-eligible & entitled workers

Using MS Excel to manipulate client's data and producing sparkly clean import files

Building strong working relationships both internally and externally

Ideally you will be qualified to CIPP level in processing and/or management

Ideally you'll be highly ambitious and see the biggest opportunity is right in front of you, already having gained a massive amount of knowledge running various sizes of payrolls yourself and embracing the challenges that we're faced with as Payroll Professionals.

You need to be someone that enjoys working in our business, as you'll mainly be focused on driving efficiencies whilst juggling new and existing clients that keep wanting to use our services. These already include some fully managed and standard bureau clients that have already built our foundations.

As Payroll Manager, you'll be keen to double check your day-to-day duties:

End-to-end processing of weekly, fortnightly, 4-weekly and monthly payrolls

Liaising with HMRC queries either directly, via clients or through third parties

Calculating statutory payments and recovery of SMP, SSP & SPP

Handling the opening and closing of Attachment of Earnings records

Managing the induction of new clients, including mid-year starts and data cleansing/migration from systems including Sage & IRIS

Implementing auto enrolment pensions for clients not yet staged and ensuring compliance across the board once this has been setup - including liaising with pension providers

Dealing with employee queries for some managed clients, resolving queries and raising advanced payments where applicable

Processing amends to standing data records including starters and leavers information, sometimes relating to calculation of pay due for specific months

Effectively managing the timely submission of mandatory communications including RTI's

Producing standard and bespoke reports (utilising in-house software) for client analysis and payment of wages

Acting as an ambassador for our payroll business, by keeping up-to-date with the latest industry trends and legislative updates

Salary Information

GBP26,000 to GBP32,000 per annum
