Job Description
Specifics of the role, elements of which are delegated, include:

You will be working at one of two sites depending on the business needs, events venue or our restaurant based in Headingley.

When based in Leeds you will be delivering to our clients the very best and finest of catering with varying requirements according to the event which could be anything from a corporate breakfast for 15 people to a lavish 4 course Banquet for 300 you will be providing catering for both internal and external dining events with service of the highest standard.

At the restaurant this can be very fast paced working to support all chefs in the following areas:

* Assisting in the preparation of catering for confirmed events on all sections -Meat , Fish , Sauce , Garnish and Pastry etc .

* Working with the team on events or in the restaurant , helping ensure the very best possible standards are always maintained.

* Help maintain stock items such as all our homemade stock , sauces , bread , pastry and purees.

* Maintain the kitchen hygiene and cleanliness to an immaculate standard and follow any company procedure.

* Responsible for ordering of dry stocks and ensuring stocks of coffee tea milk sugar etc always available for staff in the mezzanine kitchen, liaising with Chef if stocks getting low and need re-ordering.

* Monitoring and recording of the fridge / freezer temperatures and completing all necessary health and safety monitoring checklists on a daily /weekly and monthly basis, feeding the information back to management and highlighting any issues.

* Ensuring all members of staff working in the kitchen follow health and safety procedures.

* Ensuring there is no Waste left in the kitchen overnight and this is disposed of correctly.

* Cleaning and maintaining and taking care of kitchen equipment including grease filters , fridges, freezers, dishwashers , grease trap, waste disposal units.

* checking and signing off deliveries according to the job and passing on the paperwork to the office immediately.

* General assistance to the team and any other tasks you are reasonably asked to do by a member of management.

You must ensure your role is carried out in accordance to the health and safety requirements , always wearing protective clothing and using the correct procedures and equipment to carry out your duties.
