Global IT Sourcing Specialist (Hardware)

One of the UK's leading technology firms is seeking a Global IT Sourcing Specialist to drive their procurement function after recent expansion due to rapid revenue growth. With executive stakeholder engagement and great strategic focus, this is a fantastic career opportunity for a Procurement expert aiming for Sourcing Directorship within 2-3 years.

As Global IT Sourcing Specialist (Hardware) you will:

• Nurture and build long-lasting relationships with major global IT Hardware suppliers including the likes of HP, Dell, Lenovo, IBM etc
• Design and implement key category strategies globally for this colossal spend area spanning across Desktop, Laptops, Peripherals, Datacenters, Hosting, Professional Services, Software Applications etc
• Embed yourself within this expanding team, becoming an influential player in growing the Global Sourcing function towards best-in-class
• Engage with executive level stakeholders to maintain excellent buy-in from the business

Required skills, qualifications and experience:-

• Significant global technology procurement experience, with an extensive history of leading global deals across Hardware, Software & Services including Desktop, Servers, Storage, Maintenance, Laptops, Datacentres etc
• End-to-end strategic sourcing and category management experience including contract drafting and negotiation, RFPs, stakeholder engagement, supplier relationship management (SRM), with a track record of successfully handling GBP100M+ spends across Technology categories
• Strong track record of progression with leading blue chip or corporate environments throughout your category management and strategic sourcing career
• Degree, MBA or equivalent
• CIPS (not essential)
