Job Description We have an exciting opportunity to work for our prestigious client as a Business Development Manager.
MAIN OBJECTIVES
Reporting to the Chief Business Development Officer, the Business Development Manager is responsible for the management of the Business Development team and their activities. They ensure that the team have the skills and support to action strategic plans and win new business.

Reporting to the Chief Business Development Officer, the Business Development Manager is responsible for the management of the Business Development team and their activities. They ensure that the team have the skills and support to action strategic plans and win new business.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Selling solutions and partnerships, not just software
- Consult with the prospective client, offering consultative demonstrations, presentations and proposals at appropriate points
- Close deals based on merit of the company, product and service, not price discounting
- Ensure proactive communication with stakeholders and clients
- Remain aware of opportunities being worked on by the Business Development team, assisting and guiding where necessary
- Ensure communication with decision makers is taking place
- Check proposals for new business are accurate
- Assist the team in strategic planning to ensure value-based partnerships are won
- Providing reports and analysing relevant business data
- Leading, coaching and development of Business Development team including performance reviews, target setting and 1-2-1's
- Encouraging and rewarding team success
- Pipeline management to drive the team proactively and report
- Maintain pipeline cover for a rolling quarterly period
SKILLS and BACKGROUND REQUIRED
- Extensive sales management experience
- CRM / SaaS experience
- Pipeline management experience
- People management and development experience
- High-level reporting experience
- New sales to SME and Enterprise prospects
- Extensive knowledge of the recruitment sector is desirable
- Performance management and upskilling of staff
- Resilient and willing to persevere in challenging environments to secure business to meet the company's growth ambitions
- Excellent negotiating skills
- Able to manage workload to meet challenging deadlines whilst maintaining quality standards
