Service Manager – Domestic Violence

£32,000 pa + excellent benefits

West Midlands

Permanent (Secondments would be considered)

Do you have significant experience of working with high risk victims, perpetrators of domestic abuse or vulnerable individuals with complex needs? Are you an influential manager who is looking for a rewarding role that will take your career to the next level? If so, join Recovery Focus as a Service Manager and start making a difference today.

Recovery Focus is a new group of expert charities with the shared aim to inspire individual recovery nationwide. Between us we have a track record of more than 200 years of developing and running personalised services that work with people with mental health, substance misuse and other complex needs to achieve their ambitions. Each partner organisation has its own rich history of success, but together we believe we can lead the way in evidence-based recovery pathways, tailored to meet local and individual needs.

One of our partners, Richmond Fellowship, is looking for a Service Manager to join their team working on its vital Drive Project. Working across two West Midlands local authority areas, Drive is a new response to domestic abuse that aims to reduce the number of child and adult victims of domestic abuse by disrupting and changing perpetrator behaviour. It implements a whole-system approach through an intensive individual case management intervention alongside a coordinated multi-agency response to drive service users to change their behaviour.

Our successful candidate will focus on managing the operational, financial and strategic delivery of the Drive Project and act as its champion across the area in all aspects of development and delivery. To achieve this, you will be expected to provide effective management to the Case Managers and workers who will be providing a high-quality frontline service to the high-risk perpetrators of domestic abuse. You will also continue the development of a multi-agency infrastructure that actively engages with perpetrators of domestic abuse, while working collaboratively with the Drive Partnership and local commissioners to maximise the impact of the service.

Supporting the development of the local strategic direction of the service and taking a central role in the local domestic abuse strategy partnerships are also vital elements of this role.

In addition to your strong experience working with domestic abuse perpetrators, high-risk victims, and those with complex needs, you will have a strong understanding of public protection arrangements, the provision of policing, child protection, health and social care, housing support and of multi-agency/partnership working. You will also be an inspiring and effective manager of teams dealing with people who present a significant danger to others or victims of such people.

Highly organised, strategic and target-driven, you will also be an outstanding communicator, both verbal and written, with excellent relationship-building and interpersonal skills, while a flexible, collaborative and proactive approach to your work is also essential.

In return, you can expect some great benefits, including 25 days' annual leave plus statutory bank holidays and a contributory pension scheme after a qualifying period.

Applications from Males are encouraged as they are currently under represented at this service.
