You will be joining a growing boutique architectural and building consultancy/company. Based in London, they aim to maximise the value of any property or site through collaborative working and creative solutions, going through an iterative process whilst optimising light and space and without compromising character.

Where you will work:

You will be working on very high-end private properties with exclusive clients mainly site based, but there may be an opportunity to work from home on report writing for the self-motivated self-starter.

Your new role:

You will be involved with all stages of the construction process from design to build. You will be assisting the project director with the short and medium term project planning and reporting as well as day to day site involvement in issues as they occur.

Part of the role will be getting involved with the team to reduce issues before they occur and plan upcoming progress as well as reporting to the project director. You will work with established and prestigious project teams of consultants and contractors/suppliers. The right candidate may have the opportunity to pitch for new business.

What you'll need to succeed:

- You will have similar residential experience, and high-end residential experience would be highly advantageous.
- You will be confident and outgoing to speak about our objectives with other architects and designers as well as with the contractors and you will need to be able to get across your point or your queries quickly and succinctly..
- Your written business English must be very good. Excellent Microsoft Office skills are an absolute prerequisite (Outlook, Word, Excel) and AutoCAD, MS Project, and Adobe CS are very desirable.
- A broad mix of projects experience is beneficial from contract admin, project management, party wall matters, as well as report writing, and creating and updating programmes in Excel and Project using their templates.
- You must be confident and a quick starter, able to grasp what is required, think and then pose the solution or next step before asking for help.

What professional qualifications and experience you need:

A bachelors degree ideally from a UK university in building surveying or architecture, ideally with a masters. With at least a minimum of six years relevant experience, ideally 10 and be fully chartered or more for those targetting the top salary range.

What you'll get in return:

A fantastic opportunity to work closely with the director, with plenty of responsibility, as well as hands-on involvement and a relaxed and social office attitude, with flexible working options such as working from home on site visit days is also available.

For the right candidate, the sky is the limit as they have an open management structure. Upon completion of a successful probation period, training opportunities can be discussed. Salary negotiable on experience.
