Circa GBP29,350 per annum + up to 10% performance related bonus

Fixed Term Contract for 9 months

Our client an exciting opportunity for a passionate individual to join their team as a Neighbourhood Housing Officer. They are looking for a proactive, customer focussed person with excellent communication skills and experience of working in the housing sector.

Their Neighbourhood Service team is about to embark on a transformation journey to align their services following a recent merger which is known as Neighbourhood Coaching. You will need to have a desire to work through change and a positive approach as they start this journey.

What's the role all about?
You'll spend most of your time out on your patch, getting to know your customers and the local community. You'll need to be flexible and ready to work with your customers when it's right for them.
You'll have honest and sometimes difficult conversations with your customers that will enable them to make more informed choices and better equip them to deal with life's challenges, whether it's about changing behaviour to help the customer manage their tenancy better or prevent issues of anti-social behaviour.
Build on and work in partnership with external agencies to help your customers sustain their tenancies, develop independence and build positive and inclusive lives within the community

We want somebody who:

Has a track record of being self-motivated, flexible and able to manage their own workload
Is a strong positive contributor even when the going gets tough
Already has experience of housing and tenancy issues
Has a reputation for first rate influencing, negotiating and relationship building skills
Demonstrates a commitment to our values of openness, honesty, accountability and collaboration, and will put customers first, going the extra mile for them when delivering services.
Has Excellent IT skills, good attention to detail and an excellent work ethic.
