My tier 1 client is a specialist high tech solutions provider, serving key players in the Aerospace & Defence markets. They are seeking an experienced Senior Product Manager who will be ultimately responsible for the management of the Product Life Cycle for a range of products within the company's portfolio.
Your duties and responsibilities will include the following:
* To help define long-term strategies consistent with business and corporate objectives
* To understand, articulate and capture market trends opportunities and turn them into requirements for New Product Development
* Maximise profitability of products, and be responsible for delivering profitability in line with strategic and operational targets
* Manage the product life cycle and recommendations for product deletions
* Look for continuous reductions in product costs taking into account relevant manufacturing and other overhead costs
* Ensure all products comply with relevant standards/legislation in all markets and be aware of changes that may impact the product portfolio
* Help to define product pricing strategies, ensuring future costs and pricing meet market and internal margin demands
* Work with marketing function to develop marketing and communication strategies
We are looking for the following:
* Significant experience and knowledge of RF Microwave engineering
* Radar system knowledge required to include Mono Pulse and eScan
* Conversant of aperture Vs range and application
* Strong financial and commercial awareness
* Good written, verbal and interpersonal skills
* Possess a strong analytical and technical skill base
* Knowledge of electronics advantageous
* Missile system knowledge should include Seeker, Fuze and Data Links
