Nationwide Recruitment Service is seeking an enthusiastic and motivational commercial manager with a background in sales and purchasing with manufacturing, recycling, FMCG, engineering, or waste environment.

Responsibilities:

Develop, maintain and deliver material activity, selling tonnage and assisting the development teak to deliver profitable new business.

Responsible for analysis, management, admin and compliance of all material activities. Developing new end markets and improving market share.

You will have a commercial background ideally within manufacturing and a background in compliance to govern sales of materials, including national account, third party, and depot related tonnage. Assistance to development and commercial teams for purchasing of material, and managing some existing suppliers.

Analysis and maintenance of profit margins and associated customer account management.

Overseeing the pre-payment and proformas purchasing/ buying status of all customers. Ensuring that Nationwide Recruitment Service client has limited / no exposure to debt risk.

Manage depot waste/ recycling tonnage to ensure stock levels are within company guidelines, promoting quality and continuous excellence

Assist in gaining profitable waste/ recycling tonnage through the handling of non-paper enquiries, attending tender pitches and supplier meetings.

Resolve all queries concerning non paper materials with suppliers/customers through thorough investigation. Negotiations to consider both short and long term impacts and commercial impact.

Liaise with Key Accounts and Commercial teams to manage Non Paper National Account Price matrices, ensuring they stay in line with margin expectations and the current market.

Person Specification (minimum requirements)

• Good level of general education (degree) literate, articulate.
• Good capability to operate spreadsheets and manage data
• Awareness of Environmental legislation
• Knowledge about plastics an advantage
• Experience of interacting with blue chip customers
• Knowledge of recycling business models (costs,rev etc)
• Sales and Purchasing knowldege
• Customers Account Management experience
• Experience of managing Suppliers
• Experience with working with Depot staff / Reprocessors / Finance
