As an SME at the forefront of precision tool engineering, we pride ourselves in our family spirit and our creative thinking which is at the core of who we are. We are recruiting for CNC Setter/Operator to join our manufacturing team. The successful applicant must be able to set-up, operate and maintain CNC grinding machines and all other ancillary equipment in the manufacturing department.
We are looking to interview candidates who come from an engineering background and has served a recognised apprenticeship (or equivalent work experience). You will have experience with CNC milling (3 axis) and be keen to develop your milling skills with support and training. The primary machines used in the manufacturing department are Walter Helitronic 5 axis CNC Tool & Cutter Grinder, Helicheck Inspection and Wheel Truing.
The CNC Setter / Operator Role:
+ Maintain product specifications, and inspect all products produced, utilising the correct measuring devices.
+ Understand the specifications of diamond wheels and the ability to properly true, dress and generally maintain wheelsets.
+ Knowledge and the ability to make machine adjustments and trouble shoot set up problems; also, able to monitor product quality while manufacturing.
+ Be able to instruct and assist operator associates on set up, operating and maintenance functions.
+ Have full knowledge of all tooling required, routine maintenance, and lubrication of all machinery.
+ Adhere to all health & safety procedures
You will have:
+ Time served recognised apprenticeship or equivalent work experience
+ Previous work experience in engineering
+ Have previous machining experience.
+ Must be able to use all inspection equipment and read drawings.
+ Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and AutoCAD.
+ Ability to monitor machine sounds to identify and diagnose problems in order to take appropriate action

Monday to Friday 06:00 to 14:00 and 14:00 to 22:00 on a rotating weekly basis
There is also a permanent nightshift which is 22:00 to 06:00
