Job title: General Operative
Salary: GBP7.38 - GBP7.83 per hour x1.33 After 39 hours
Type: Temporary
Hours: Rotating Days, Nights, Afters
Location: Wheatley, Doncaster
Gi Group, Doncaster are currently looking for a number of General Operatives on behalf of a market leading manufacturing company based in Doncaster. This is an exciting opportunity for you to join a company that can offer genuine training prospects as well as the possibility of progression. The work is ongoing and will be based at their production site in Wheatley.
Main areas of responsibility:
• To pick, pack and dispatch orders
• To assist in product stock-takes
• Manual handling of weights of 25kg as part of a 2 person lift
• Operating production machinery
• Assisting with product returns and testing
• General property and grounds maintenance
• Assist with factory hygiene when needed
• Ability to measure materials
• Adhering to safety standards
Personal Specification:
• No experience necessary just the right attitude
• Personable, proactive individual
• Good understanding of English language, both written and verbal
• Good health and safety awareness
• Able to read basic drawings
• Ability to work in a team
Hours of work:
Successful candidates will be working on a 3 week rotation as follows:
• Days - Monday - Thursday 6am - 2pm & Friday 6am - 1pm
• Nights - Sunday 11pm - 6am & Monday - Thursday 10pm - 6am
• Afters - Monday - Thursday 2pm - 10pm & Friday 1pm - 8pm
