Position: Kitchen Designer - Projects Executive
Location: Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire

Our Client:
Grown from a family business into one of the UKs leading Appliance Distributors. They have been servicing solely the homebuilder and construction market for over 30 years and proud to be working with one of Europe's leading German kitchen manufacturers. They offer an extensive range of high quality German built kitchen furniture and service small and large projects from concept to completion. Working with main contractors they have an experienced kitchen design team who offer creative and practical solutions. They now have an exciting opportunity for an experienced kitchen designer to join their diverse and busy kitchen projects team at their main headquarters in Hemel Hempstead.
The Role: Kitchen Designer
Design and produce quotations for large project developments and to contribute to effective sales presentations. This includes building and maintaining excellent relationships at all levels to reduce the influence of price by creating greater product specification awareness.
Responsibilities:
•To become fully conversant with the kitchen products available and develop an understanding of market and customer requirements
•Build and design, within the CAD software used by the Company, workable kitchen layouts that fit the tolerance of the building area and that meet the customers design brief and to be able to present these designs to the customer
•Put together the quotation for a kitchen design including furniture, appliances, installation and other elements in a commercial package under the guidance and in support of the Sales Manager.
•Prepare and participate in face to face meetings with clients and with the Kitchen Design Director
•To answer telephone queries relating to specifications, designs and customer enquiries
•To become effective in managing daily queries and action workloads to deadlines; to resolve these within the parameters of the Company's escalation process
•To communicate all important technical and design details to the Installation Teams to ensure delivery of a finished and polished kitchen design to the customers complete satisfaction
•To build excellent working relationships with colleagues and customers ensuring that the Company's reputation is enhanced at every opportunity
The Candidate: Kitchen Designer
This role is not sales based and would suit an experienced kitchen designer who is not looking for the pressure of a sales role but loves designing kitchens and working as part of a team designing and planning projects.
•To be able to show initiative and flair for design work
•To have knowledge and experience of using design software (preferably Winner Compusoft)
•Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint
•To understand architect's drawings and produce high quality designs to achieve the customers specification and budget
•Diplomatic to resolve issues at all levels both with internal & external contacts.
•To have good communication skills with people of all sorts
•To be able to multi-task and have a calm and focused approach focused on time management and meeting required deadlines.
•Good commercial acumen to effectively quote & negotiate where required
