A market leading FMCG manufacturer, supplying ` The Big 4` and other major retailers throughout the UK are seeking an Engineering Manager to join their Lincolnshire site.
As the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for meeting and exceeding maintenance efficiencies and supporting manufacturing quality products in line with Customer requirements. You will manage and co-ordinate personnel, materials and equipment to ensure the on-going reliability of all equipment in support of Manufacturing. Responsible for the day to day development of delivery of the Engineering Maintenance strategy provide technical support during major plant issues or breakdowns.
" Management of the front-line maintenance team to ensure that they provide a comprehensive breakdown, planned/preventative maintenance and continuous improvement service to support the overall achievement of operational goals and targets
" To own and deliver the maintenance agenda, ensuring compliance to all internal and external processes and systems are adhered to
" Responsibility for developing and delivering a constantly evolving high quality maintenance plan that drives performance improvement
" Ensure the timely resolution of equipment failure to allow high quality root cause analysis and the elimination of recurrent issues on the line
" Promote and support the company; quality, safety standards, focusing on continuous improvement whilst contributing to the companies strategy
" To support the delivery of projects ensuring that new equipment integrated into the maintenance strategy
" Ensure a computerised maintenance management system (CMMS) is developed and maintained to a high degree of accuracy to grow an understanding of full asset life-cycle costs
" To coach and develop the maintenance team in regard to the use of the site CMMS
" Adhere to budget costs
" Control of contractors
" Identify training skill gaps in the maintenance team and discuss needs with Ops Manager
" Manage stores and critical parts
To be considered for this role, candidates will come from a strong engineering background with leadership / managerial qualities and have managed operation shift systems.
Candidates will have experience working within a GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) manufacturing environment and hold a Degree / recognised qualification/ apprenticeship in an Engineering related discipline or equivalent.
Hours: Monday- Friday 8- 5pm
Salary: £45k- £50k + Benefits
