Our client is a specialist land-based college based across the North of England with centres in York, Middlesbrough, Saltaire, Wakefield, Newcastle and Penrith.

Joining them as a Game and Wildlife Management Technician, you will work as a section estate technician to ensure facilities and equipment are maintained to support teaching and income generation; supervising learners duties and instructing and delivering vocational sessions and curriculum modules.

Assisting with the day to day operation and supervision of the Game facilities; including assembly/storage or rearing field and facilities, care and release of game birds, pest and predator control, assistance with game shoot, maintenance of campus owned guns and rifles, electronic traps and clay site, learner gundog kennels and learner firearms storage records within the armoury, you will deliver the instruction of practical sessions and learner projects and contribute to the college shoot days including the rearing and release of gamebirds.

You must also assist with the housekeeping duties of workshops classrooms, tutorial rooms and game larder to ensure that areas are clean, tidy and hygienic.

Candidates for this role must hold a minimum of a level 3 NVQ in a relevant subject (or equivalent) and have proven experience of working in bust practical based environments.  With a shotgun and Firearms certificate and the ability to work well with a range of equipment, candidates will ideally hold a deer stalking certificate at level 1 and have knowledge of health and safety regulations.
