An amazing opportunity no to be missed for a trained Multi Skilled Engineer to work on shifts as required providing breakdown & maintenance cover on a varied range of machinery/M&E assets.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Carry out preventative maintenance (PPM) tasks as scheduled during shift to required standard
Conduct continuous machine(s) observation during shift
Identify potential failure or deterioration of machinery/equipment and/or asset
Determine cause of potential failure or performance deterioration & carry out remedial works
Use O&M manuals and failure history to develop preventative tasks
Provide training to engineers on new & existing tasks
Provide mentoring support to all newly recruited Engineers
Identify potential safety risks taking necessary action to remove the hazard & report to Facilities Manager
Ensure all machinery & equipment is handed back to warehouse colleagues in 100% safe condition
Be aware of incident/accident reports & work with Operational Managers to promptly implement solutions to prevent re-occurrence
Respond immediately to all machinery/equipment/asset failures during shift to avoid any impact to productivity of the business
Conduct systematic, rigorous & accurate fault diagnosis
Determine most effective solution to fault(s)
Complete all necessary documentation for the reporting of reactive works & include cause and solution via the agreed maintenance system
Ensure all site log books are kept up to date to evident compliance & clear audit trail
Reporting of all Health, Safety & Environmental issues
Undertake any other reasonable task as directed by the Facilities Manager
ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
Apprentice trained
Able to read electrical drawings
Ability to logically fault find
Carried out PPM & Reactive tasks
Read mechanical drawings
Worked with conveyors
Good communication skills at all levels
Team player - though capable of working on own initiative
Worked in a logistics environment
GENERAL:
To adhere to the company rules for employees
To adhere to the company policy on Health & Safety at Work
To adhere to the company policy and procedures on Quality Assurance
To co-operate readily, politely with other company colleagues
