Based in Darlington, this managed IT service provider is a technology partner for multiple businesses across the UK. As a team of experienced IT professionals, they "Embrace Digital Disruption and Challenge Thinking" by doing this they help businesses identify and implement the right technology for their operational needs.

A role exists for a Business Development Executive's (BDE) this role will be focused on customer acquisition. Through a dedicated lead generation and prospect management strategy, the BDE will meet with potential clients, with the focus on building business relationships and recruiting clients to be part of the companies IT managed service platform.

The BDE will be responsible for researching client, web and network referrals. Once new client interaction is gained, the BDE will be responsible for understanding the client's needs and challenging thinking around their current IT processes and requirements. With effective gap spotting a managed service can be offered. The BDE will be expected to offer a range of services including; IT Support, Telephony and Office 365 etc.

Duties and Responsibilities
Reporting directly to the sales manager the BDE will be expected to perform the following tasks to a high standard:
- Identifying, qualifying and securing business opportunities
- Building business relationships with new and potential clients
- Collaborating with sales and leadership to secure and retain accounts
- Developing customized targeted sales strategies
- Creating informative presentations; Presenting and delivering information to potential clients at client meetings, industry exhibits, trade shows, and conferences
- Coordinating business generation activities
- Responding to client requests for proposals (RFPs)
- Maintaining and developing the current list/database of prospect clients
- Cold calling; making multiple outbound calls to potential clients
- Understanding and challenging client needs and offering solutions and support
- Researching potential leads from business directories, web searches, or digital resources
- Closing sales and working with client through closing process
- Meeting or exceeding annual sales goals

Person Specification and Qualifications
- Experience with lead generation and prospect management
- Persuasive and goal-oriented- Possesses an energetic, outgoing, and friendly demeanour
- Eager to expand company with new sales, clients, and territories
- Self-motivated and self-directed
- Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
- In-depth understanding of company services and its position in the industry
- At least two years of Business to Business sales experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Able to professionally and confidently communicate with business owners, directors and managers
- Demonstrated and proven sales results
- Creative problem solver who thrives when presented with a challenge
- Knowledge of sales process from initiation to close
