Purpose of the Kitchen Service Fitter role:
To remedy problems in homeowners' properties and to ensure the role of the Customer Care team provides the company's standards and levels of service. Provide a service for the Reading and surrounding postcode areas.
Key Accountabilities of the Kitchen Service Fitter role:
1. To gain customer signatures promptly on Customer Satisfaction Notes upon the satisfactory completion of works.
2. Follow programmed routing and diary schedules , and promptly report any issues as to why works cannot be carried out, provide photographic evidence where possible.
3. To follow all the stages in the Company's fitting guidance, including pre-start risk assessments, plot checks, installations, health & safety and customer liaison.
4. To install kitchen furniture and appliances in accordance with fitting guidelines using the correct tools and fixings.
5. Comply with site waste standards, and dispose of packaging waste in the correct manner, adhering to expected environmental standards.
6. To complete post installation fitting reports to confirm completion of installation or additional materials and works required to complete.
7. To operate in line with our contractual obligations, while managing customers' expectations so that the service meets the targets set.
8. To maintain and secure company supplied materials and equipment to prevent deterioration or theft.
9. To check and manage stock levels of materials, reviewing forthcoming scheduled works.
Competencies Required:
Essential:
Good communication skills
Attentional to detail
Experience in the fitted kitchen industry.
Competence with hand held power tools.
Full driving licence.
Ability to manage own workload and timekeeping effectively.
Ability to work as part of a wider team.
Essential experience required for the role:
Proven track record delivering a high standard of workmanship in the kitchen industry.
Desirable experience for the role: Customer care within the building industry.
