Stafffinders are currently are Scotland's longest running agency and we are currently recruiting for a "Factoring officer" for a Housing Association in the Dunbartonshire area, Our client is a Association that has been open over 20 years with a Housing stock of 600 properties.
Duties:
* Ensure that policies and procedures are prepared and adhered to in relation to the Factoring service that comply with all current legislation and good practice
* Ensure that the quality of work by Association staff and contractors is of the highest standard and complies with the Associations requirements, Planning Approvals, Building Standards, British Standards and Codes of Practice and all applicable European regulations and standards
* Ensure value for money is achieved for all works carried out on behalf of owners, and that all financial transactions relating to the Factoring service are accounted for accurately and reported to owners periodically
* Ensure excellent consultation and communication with owners, as a minimum meeting the requirements set out in legislation and policy and procedures
* Arrange and attend regular meetings with owners and the Home Owners Forum to discuss the Factoring service generally, and specific issues where required
* Ensure that all resources utilised, including staff time, materials etc., in relation to the delivery of the Factoring service, are collated and accounted for accurately
* Provide regular reports to the Management Teams on performance against targets in relation to delivery of the Factoring service
* Market the Factoring service with view to expanding the current customer base
* Operate debt recovery procedures to ensure all owners pay their respective share of costs incurred and, where owners experience difficulty in paying, provide basic advice and signposting to relevant agencies that may be able to assist
* Maintain links with maintenance, housing management and other staff and provide feedback on quality and other issues to be taken into account when reviewing service delivery
* Ensure a commitment to customer focussed service and high quality
* Liaise with Owners, key stakeholders and other departments directly affected by the works to ensure that they are fully aware of the initial proposals and any variations instructed during the course of the works
* Manage and report on performance against departmental targets for each contract
* Behave in a manner consistent with organisational values and service standards, ensuring there is a commitment to a customer focussed service and high quality
You will have the following:
* 6 months+ experience as a factoring officer
* HNC in Building/Quantity Surveying or equivalent
* HNC in Housing or equivalent
Salary: GBP32000 - GBP35000
