Based in the beautiful seaside location of Nairn and being a public facing manager in the hotel you will enjoy all aspects of hotel work. You will posess excellent leadership skills and will lead from the front whilst motivating and getting the best out of each Head of Department. Along with an ability to seamlessly adapt to each departments needs on any given day, you will have a good business/financial acumen.
As a strong motivator you will be able to get the most out of your team at all times with your individuality always shining through.
You will actively be involved in Sales and Marketing, People and Development, Product and Services, Revenue and Control, Communications and Maintenance. Compliance matters in all operational policies and procedures is expected and will maximise the guest experience.
This is a highly varied role and presents different challenges daily.
Key duties and responsibilities of our Operations Manager:
Delivering exceptional performance within budget and within deadlines.
Working closely with the General Manager and heads of department to develop long-term business plans
Constantly deliver to set targets and meet expected standards.
Help to build strong, motivated and professional teams throughout all areas of the Hotel.
Overseeing the day to day running of all operations.
Stock control, ordering and direct front office support.
Training and development of heads of departments.
Ensure compliance with all Head Office directives.
Preferred Skills and Experience of our Operations Manager:
Previous Operations Manager experience for a 4 star hotel.
Exceptional leadership skills.
Proven success building and leading effective teams.
Excellent communication skills through verbal and written channels.
Target and quality orientated.
Working knowledge of PMS/POS systems will be highly valued.
