Design Technician

Design Technician required in Grimsby

We are an award-winning, family-run house builder, providing high quality homes across Lincolnshire.

We are currently looking for an experienced Design Technician to join the busy Technical Department and Drawing Office team. The role covers a wide variety of design aspects connected with an innovative house building company.

The successful applicant will be fully converse with Auto CAD and ideally have several years post qualification experience within house building or the construction industry, although candidates will be considered who possess experience that can easily be transferred to this role.

Duties

Produce house type working drawings
Produce and submit Building Regulations applications and registrations 
Arrange for the issue of working drawings to site as required
Assist in the production of detailed site layouts and planning applications
Assist in the production of engineering/technical drawings
Assist in the production of Electrical/Heating and Kitchen layouts.
Assist in the supervision of SAP calculations, Electrical Certificates, Gas Safe Certificates

Requirements
Experienced in the Auto CAD operating system
Qualified to min HNC/HND in Construction and the Built Environment
Knowledge of current Building Regulations 
Working within a team in an open plan office
Computer literate, with full understanding of Office programs
