Assembly Fitter

Large UK manufacturing company require an Assembly Fitter to work on a contract basis for 3 months, with the view to go permanent.

You will be required to assist in the manufacture and mechanical build of electrical control panels and distribution panels.

Assembly Fitter Requirements:

* Previous experience of working in a hands-on production environment
* Previous experience of working with engineering drawings and schematics
* Good working experience of busy and fast paced environments
* Able to drill, grind and saw
* Previous experience of using hand tools such as spanners, screwdrivers, wrenches and allan keys

Assembly Fitter Responsibilities:

* Assembly and fitting of control panel units and electrical enclosures from 0.5m x 0.5m up to 2m x 2m in size
* Reading and interpreting mechanical drawings and building mechanical panels accordingly
* Liaising and assisting other production team members to ensure that all control panels are built correctly
* Assembling frames, doors, panels and trunking
