You must be a patient Science graduate who has existing aspirations of becoming a secondary Science Teacher in the future. The successful candidate will possess exceptional subject knowledge that they are able to transfer to students through exciting learning strategies. The ideal Science Tutor must have the skills to enthuse and excite their students with an interesting curriculum that makes their subject come to life.
The school is looking for subject specialists in each of the areas of Biology, Chemistry and Physics to work alongside students in order to raise attainment. You will be running intervention and booster classes with both lower and higher ability students in order to reinforce learning. The chosen Science Tutor will also have the opportunity to experience full class teaching as you will lead lessons in the absence of the teacher. The Science Tutor role will be focussed largely on working alongside GCSE and A-Level students in your specialist Scientific area of expertise to help raise attainment ahead of exams. You will also experience General Science lessons with lower year groups.
