Job Title: Contractor Liaison Officer

Location: Oxford Depot

Salary: GBP24,923 - GBP32,919 depending on skills and experience

Permanent | Full Time Hours | 37 hours per week

Our Role

As Contracts Liaison Officer, you will receive and review job packs from contractors to ensure all relevant documentation is incorporated in them. You'll be responsible for reviewing contractor invoices and signing that the work that has been claimed for has been completed. You will be responsible for the coordination of communications between the contractor and SSE stakeholders by acting as an SEPD ambassador at all times.

Assisting with notifying customers about planned shutdowns, you will promote the boarder measure scores via great customer service, negotiate planned shutdowns with external customers and build long lasting relationships with local communities. You will ensure adherence to the plant work instructions by completing a technical audit with photos on each site visit, checking on site risk assessments, to ensure contractors are working to the SSEPD safe systems of work and coach safety best practise.

Your Skills and Experience

As a Contractor Liaison Officer, you will need to be well organised, as your main duties will be auditing build quality and safety, and approving schemes for payment for all work completed by our Contractors. You will need to be a good communicator at all levels and be able to liaise with Contractors, SSE Management and most importantly our customers. An in-depth knowledge of ABC Line Design Standard would be an advantage, although you will be provided with the necessary training and development to undertake your duties.

Flexibility is a must, given the nature of the business it is expected that travel throughout the area will be required, therefore, a valid UK driving license is required.
