Senior Commercial Manager - Aerospace

Our client is a renowned Aerospace Service provider based in the Oxfordshire area. They are looking for a Senior Commercial Manager experienced in contract handling and providing commercial expertise to complex issues. See below for details!
Purpose:
To lead the Commercial Management activities for its military activities with the UK MoD, representing the client's commercial interests and providing commercial support to the business.
Senior Commercial Manager - Aerospace
The successful candidate should have:
• A strong portfolio of experience across all commercial fundamentals: drafting and interpreting complex contracts without legal support, leading win business campaigns, negotiation of complex high-value contracts and maximising value through robust contract management
• Experience of working in long term partnering arrangements
• Experience of establishing and improving commercial processes, procedures and systems
• Experience of leading teams to deliver the required outcomes

Job Responsibilities
• Inform the commercial strategy of the business towards its customers, Primary Sub-Contractors and other suppliers for the assigned business streams
• Provide contractual interpretation on complex issues across the entirety of the business' contract document set
• Exercise governance over the organisation's contractual arrangements, approving and executing agreements in accordance with company delegated authorities
• Ensure that customer contracts are managed robustly to maximize profitability
• Deliver the assigned portfolio of FSTA Changes, operating in accordance with the company's Change Management Process
• Act as a point of escalation for the Commercial Management team in negotiations and disputes
• Liaise with external advisors for advice on specialist topics
• Provide support to the Executive and Senior Management teams on a wide range of commercial and contractual matters
• Act as line manager for assigned Commercial Management staff, setting objectives to support delivery of the company's business plan and managing staff performance
• Maintain the Commercial Management competency framework and ensure that assigned Commercial Management staff have appropriate training and development to support their continued professional development
