Our client, an innovative and leading 1st tier supplier of composites to the aerospace, rail and motorsport sectors, requires an experienced project manager to lead a small team to deliver the introduction of new products whilst coordinating key projects themselves.
Responsibilities:
* To develop, manage and empower the project teams to deliver projects in a timely manner, engaging cross functional heads and senior staff members as required to escalate project roadblocks.
* To create and maintain project KPI's linked to cost, quality and delivery.
* To take the lead on coordinating and ensuring that the teams all deliver in a timely, effective and efficient manner against agreed project milestones and deadlines.
* To manage the full project management life cycle.
* To work closely with customers, sales and the functional teams to define customer requirements, communicate project progress and agree appropriate actions and deliverables.
* To communicate effectively to internal stakeholders on progress, raise any risks or delays and actively work to resolve these to ensure on time delivery.
Applicants:
* Degree qualified or relevant project management qualifications.
* Relevant experience in a project role, ideally within the automotive, rail or aerospace sectors.
* Composites experience is preferred, or door systems and/or interior trim experience is highly desirable.
* Experience of working with customers with a proven track record of defining robust project requirements using tools such as QFD.
* Proficient user knowledge of Microsoft Project.
The successful candidate will be a focused, highly motivated individual with excellent problem solving ability. This person works well under pressure, with the ability to use their own initiative and can also motivate and work well effectively within a team
