Choice Teachers are looking to recruit proactive and eager Cover supervisors on a full time or part-time basis. You will be deployed to work in our contracted schools based in Rickmansworth/Watford/St.Albans and surrounding areas.

These positions are offered on a supply contract basis via the agency.

Successful applicants will receive training on becoming a Cover Supervisor as well being offered courses on Safeguarding employability skills, health and safety and first aid.

The Role;

Cover supervisors are suitably-trained school staff who supervise pupils carrying out pre-prepared exercises when teaching staff are on short-term absence. The cover supervisor's main job is to manage a classroom, ensuring that students remain on task with the work they have been set.

Ideal Candidate;

You must be well organised and be available to cover day to day absences between the hours of 8am - 3:30pm. The perfect candidate will be very proactive in their approach and be flexible with their availability. You must be willing to go that extra mile to achieve a high level of performance. Applicants able to drive are desired but is not essential.

Although no qualifications are necessary to apply for this role, someone with experience in the following EFL, TEFL, CELTA, PTTLS and DTTLS would already have the necessary training to be successful in the role of a covers supervisor. Additionally, someone with a degree in a secondary school subject would be desirable.

Desirable;

* Eager, Proactive, Hardworking and Organised
* Previously having experience as a Teaching Assistant, HLTA, cover supervisor or Tutor is advantageous. Although training will be provided
* Worked with children or young adults
* Able to support the management and behaviour of pupils.
* Professional and presentable
* Current UK Driving License

Candidates must have;

* Current DBS check or be prepared to have a new check completed
* Have the right to work in UK
* Be available to start within the next 2 months
