HGV Mechanic

Position: Bus/PSV maintenance Mechanic

Salary: £30,000 basic + Overtime

Shifts: Mixture of days and rolling shift

Multiple London Locations available North and South.

A number of exciting opportunities has come about with one of our key client who are looking for a number of maintenance engineers to join garages/depots across the London area. A great one for those looking to secure permanent positions in the Transport Industry working on Buses ranging from older models all the way through to the latest generation models. The company a well-known transport operator brand based in the London area is known for its Training and development programme making it a good fit for anyone looking to progress their career.

The purpose of the role will be to provide mechanical maintenance to the current fleet of vehicles to a high standard in line with maintenance regimes across all the systems.

Transferrable industries/areas include HGV / PSV Mechanic / Armed forces / maritime / heavy plant / Rail

Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:

• Day to day servicing - Oil changes, Filters and level checks
• Fault finding on reported issues
• Minor repairs and part replacements
• Major replacements (Gearbox & Engines are undertaken by the Overhaul team)
• Ensure all work is carried out in line with safety standards and within timescale.
• Work well as part of a team and contribute to a positive culture to the depot

Experience

To apply you must have an NVQ level 3, Apprenticed trained or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline. Applications are welcome from transferable industries

A clear track record providing maintenance and repair, activities to Vehicles is a must.
