Housekeeping Supervisor Vacancy - Holiday Village - Located on Hayling Island near Havant & Portsmouth - Salary from GBP8.00 p/h+ DOE
Holiday Village is open all year round and have over 300 units of Chalet & Hotel style Accommodation and caters up to 700 guests per stay commencing on Mondays & Fridays. Business also Service units on a daily basis and of course this has to be managed daily too!
Client is currently looking for Section Housekeepers to supervise and manage Accommodation Room/Chalet Cleaners on a daily basis within a designated area on the Park.
You will be responsible for the cleanliness, standards and the quality and coordination of the work of the Cleaning Team for up to 50/60 rooms within the overall 300 rooms on the Park.
You will report to the Accommodation Management and work alongside a further 5/6 Housekeepers who have the same role such that the Park is fully covered.
Key responsibilities:
- Hands on supervision of a busy housekeeping cluster team
- The coordination/supervision of a team of cleaners to ensure the efficient and smooth running of the housekeeping department as a whole
- Communicating with the maintenance department to ensure maintenance is reported on a daily basis
- Assisting with rotas, linen & cleaning supplies requirements
- Assist in training the team through communication and guidance on standards and training
Knowledge/Skills/Experience:
- Previous experience in Housekeeping in a high volume hospitality business
- Experience managing teams
- Works well under pressure???a good communicator too
- Customer focused???Friendly & helpful attitude
- Calm and methodical character but of strong character???this is a busy place!
- Attention to detail even little ones and high standards
