HR Advisor

HR Advisor, Blandford, GBP30,000 DOE, 9-12-month contract

You are an experienced HR professional looking to further develop your skills and knowledge within a diverse and well-established premium company. Our client, within the manufacturing industry, has a client base stretching the globe. As HR Advisor you will be responsible for running a monthly payroll and dealing with all HR related tasks, reporting directly to the finance director.

Responsibilities as HR Advisor:

• Running a monthly payroll accurately for over 200 employees, dealing with HMRC, RTI and payment queries
• Regularly having correspondence with various agencies regarding recruitment, temp, temp-perm, job offers and contracts
• Generating various reports on topics such as holiday and attendance, communicating this with supervisors where necessary
• Updating employee records regarding training, holiday and sickness onto internal systems
• Conducting inductions for new starters and disciplinaries for current employees where needed
• Dealing with all day-day HR and recruitment related issues and enquires

Skills as HR Advisor:

• Experience working within a similar generalist HR role with previous payroll experience is essential
• Experience dealing with high volume temporary workers ideally within the Manufacturing/ Engineering industry
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to build a rapport with colleagues in a confident and professional manner both face to face and over the phone
• Strong accuracy and attention to detail skills with the ability to meet deadlines through prioritising and planning
• Knowledge and experience using the Microsoft Suite particularly Word and Excel
• A proactive motivated individual who has initiative and works well independently alongside working in a team
