We are looking for a trade assistant to start immediately in a fabrication facility in Aberdeen.
This is an excellent opportunity for a confident individual who is reliable with a flexible attitude towards work.
Hours:
39 hours per week
The Role:
Working as part of a large fabrication team you will be assisting all tradesmen in the execution of their tasks in the fabrication of Oil & Gas and Structural steelwork.
Responsibilities
• Assisting with loading, unloading and packing of equipment
• Withdrawal of correct equipment from stores and ensuring its return
• The cleaning and protection of equipment
• Be responsible for good housekeeping and safe working practices in the workshop and on the facility
• Individual risk awareness within job role
• Cable management
Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Competency Requirements
• Educated to GCSE level
• Previous experience working on large construction sites but ideally in a workshop engineering environment
• Successful SHE induction
• An understanding of company Quality, Safety, Health & Environmental systems and programmes
Desirable Training/Certification
• Forklift Truck - 5T Counterbalance - Desirable
• Abrasive Wheels - Desirable
• Overhead crane - Desirable
• Side Loader - Desirable
• Pre Heat - Desirable
Rates
GBP11.50 per hour basic (39 hours)
GBP18.15 per hour overtime (after 39 hours)
