Empowering Learning are currently looking to recruit a SEMH Teaching Assistant to work with primary and secondary aged students based in Wakefield.
The school is a specialist setting with each class having small numbers in (max of 8).
Experience within a school setting is not essential, if you have transferable skills this will be also accepted.
Working with SEMH is a hard job and requires certain skills top able to work in this environment. Candidates who can show the following experience/qualifications will be considered.
Experience/Skills
- Experience supporting pupils with SEMH
- Understanding of SEN
- Worked in a relevant setting e.g School or Residential Home
- Resilience
- Ability to build strong lasting relationships
- Use of initiative
Qualifications
- Team Teach or MAPA (Desirable)
